Let that sink right in. Don’t let anybody or anything convince you otherwise. It is true that we all have challenges and face unpleasant situations but what matters is how we handle everything. Do you know that bad times have a way of making life much more valuable than ever? But you know what? You don’t need to go through bad times to deeply appreciate life.

You can actually live that life you dream of, no matter the challenges. Happiness and health is something that we can be deliberate about, either to get it or maintain it. The fact is that there is no way you can recognize the beauty that life portrays if you are always flat on your back. My goal here is to help you defeat that.

Is it a common thing for you to wake up feeling weak? Do you get stressed so easily or get down with headache? Or you are constantly on caffeinated beverages as a necessity to help you work? If any of these sound familiar, those quick fixes won’t do you any good in living a beautiful life. What you need is an energy management plan.

Starting the management plan might seem hectic, but if you stick to it the rewards far exceeds the demands. Before you know it, you are already feeling energized and you are on your way to a healthier, livelier and beautiful lifestyle.

So what does Energy Management Mean exactly?

You have to understand that your energy is limited, just like any other resource. Each day starts with a particular amount of energy reserved depending on several factors. Remember that we all have varying energy levels, factors like stress levels, age, medical conditions, lifestyle and amount of sleep you get.

On a daily basis, we utilize our energy for various activities and at the same time also try to restore energy back. Now some activities that are energy-depleting might be under your control, but you can control how much energy you deposit daily. The Energy management plan is about putting in more energy than you use. Here are simple lifestyle tips to multiply your energy to live a healthy and beautiful life:

Without any argument, we can all agree that wholesome food is the primary source of wellness. Although, most people tend to link healthy eating majorly as a strategy for losing weight. It goes beyond all that, wholesome food make you feel whole. Then you ask, what should I eat as wholesome food?

According to the Dietary Guidelines for America, getting a wholesome diet should be high in vegetables and fruits, low-fat dairy, whole grain and lean protein. These food items basically form the major foods that provides you with optimal energy. Don’t forget that you are what you are, at least to some extent. Make a habit of eating this variety of food items from the food groups to energize throughout each day.

For instance, there are lots of legumes and fishes to pick from that gives you healthy protein options. You can also get fresh or frozen vegetables and fruits, mostly the nutrient-dense, leafy greens and broccoli as well as sweet potatoes and carrots. Make it a habit to eat about 3 ounces of pasta or rice, whole-grain cereals and bread daily.

2. Watch out for excess news.

Watching news is a vital way of staying connected to what’s going on out there. It may be informational, fun and probably uplifting. Sadly, the news you will hear mostly are stories of pain and hate. You need to avoid all these toxic informations that are not useful to you and your well-being.

3. Engage in exercise regularly.

Do you find yourself feeling tired halfway through each day? Have you ever gotten so weak by everyday duties, simple things like grocery shopping or doing house chores? Exercise can help relieve the stress and tension that you are feeling continually. It also strengthens the muscles and enhances endurance, which aids your body to function more efficiently when carrying out other physical activities daily.

4. Do something passionate everyday.

What do you have passion for? Probably you have a hobby or cool talent that you can practice more often or share with friends? Do things that you enjoy every day. It doesn’t matter if it’s as easy as cooking a healthy meal or listening and dancing to your favorite song. By engaging with the things that matter to you and enjoying them, you begin to use and reserve your energy efficiently for the best purposes.

5. Think well of others.

Maintaining a kind mindset is one way to maintain a positive energy around you. A good way of practicing this consistently is called kind attention. For instance, you can make eye contact with someone and smile, while thinking “I wish you the best.” This positive attitude can keep you from being judgmental. Doing this will make you feel better as you take further steps to your self-care investment.
